Kuang Fei Tangkak beef noodle is our usual stop whenever we pass by Tangkak or on the way to enter North South Highway. My family have been an avid ‘fan’ since my school years when it used to operate as a roadside stall in Tangkak main street.

The maindraw of their noodles lies (at least to me) was their appetising soup that goes very well no matter noodles, kuey tiew or vermicelli. Boiled from the cow bones, meats and innards, one might expected the soup to be quite oily, but it’s not. I suspect the herbs and the salted vegetables not only gave enhance its flavour but also clear the grease. I found the meat and the cow stomach were little chewy at times but still it’s not bad enough to make me dislike them.
Clear herbal beef soup with hint of sourness from the appetising salted vegetables.
My favourite part of a cow – stomach.
