Goodbye 40s… hello 50s, and I don’t mean my age (thank goodness!). It’s the big KG, my body weight. I had been staying almost gluten-free until recently. We were in KLCC two weeks ago and got our coffee addiction fixed at San Francisco Coffee. Then the guy in front of me (of all things!) ordered the big breakfast set. One thing leads to another, and the rest are history. We are now addicted to big breakfast set of anywhere. So the very first day of the long Raya weekend, big breakfast won’t keep haunting us from the moment we woke up.

The first cafe that came to our mind was The Good Batch, but the queue was long and I was famished so we drove to another row of shops known to house at least three more cafes. We decided on Epicuro, simply because it’s non-halal, promising bacons, real bacons.

We were even more delighted upon seeing Latte Macchiato RM10 on the drinks menu, instead of espresso Macchiato. Mine came with a starfish -like patterned foam and a while later, CS showed off his to me. I wouldn’t call the latte full bodied but they’re adequate because I like low acidity.

 

Big Breakfast RM20.90 set comes with three pieces of nicely done non-crispy bacon. Extra bacon request was tagged at RM2 each. Maybe I was deprived of pork sausage for too long that I felt the pork sausage taste supreme. Mushrooms are decent with pesto on the side, although a tad too oily. So are the hash browns but I never like hash browns anyway. They were evicted to CS’s plate.

The Eggs Are Sides of Bacon RM17.90 was a smaller version of the big breakfast but much to the delight of CS, traded the mushrooms and hash brown with considerable amount of bacons.
